The pre-construction phase activities includes preliminary studies for Project design, preparation and surveying work, demolition of wooden shed and sampling of river and marine water, air and noise. The potential impact include:
1. Soil erosion
2. Sedimentation
3. Oil and grease pollution from machinery that used in construction during breakdowns and minor on-site repairs.
4. Generate dust from the movement of the constuction vehicles, heavy vehicles exiting the site may deposit sand on the public roads and may be thrown up as dust
5. Noise generated from construction activity
6. Construction waste shall be generated during demolition works of existing wooden shacks along the shoreline of Muara South and will increase once the building construction phase begins.
7. Heavy traffic would increase
8. Improper discharge of sewage and disposal solid waste by the workers
9. Potential flooding
