Statement of need of the KTCC Project

1. The objective of KTCC master plan is to position Kuala Terengganu as the dynamic tourism gateway to the East Coast based on its diverse attractions and cultural heritage particularly in island and coastal tourism,inland tourism, cultural and heritage tourism and handicraft based tourism.

2. In KTCC Mater Plan, Muara North and Muara South development has been identified as one of the Key Development Areas (KDA). The proposed land use for mixed development comprising of residential, hotel, commercial and other services.

3. With the proposed development, Kuala Terengganu City Centre economic activities will be more diverse and able to attract more investments in the coastal, cultural and heritage tourism and services as well as injecting vibrancy and excitement to the existing Kuala Terengganu town while retaining its cultural and traditional heritage.
